School Talk

I started school last week (5th January) so now it's (more or less) my 2nd week.

Our Literacy topic is The Iron Man (by Ted Hughes), the Science topic is the Behaviour of Magnets and Maths is (I really can't remember)

I am sad to leave Portugal but then again everybody here in England is so HAPPY! Today is the 2nd Sunday at church and I LOVE IT!

My life was (like the title says) unfortunately scattered here and there. Before my blog was called "Maya's Portugal Paradise" that is when we were in Portugal but now we're in London. See? London, Portugal, London and so on so forth.

Laurinda

CUTE KITTY:

Laurinda is a lovely lady, she owns a little shop in Abiturieira. Her husband died in August so because her son bought her a really cut kitten that was born the same day he husband died! Her mother died in October so we go to see her alot.

Weird Bugs

We've seen a lot of crazy, huge, disney, weird and beautiful insects and other weird things such as:

Today Nanny & Grandad came and right now we are all having a bonfire! Today we went to Urraca to visit somebody's house. There we had a look round at his house and apparently yesterday (13th, November) my Dad spoke about him showing us a house and we ended up in the abandon village.

Visitors

We have had 2 visitors so far Sophie & Steven and we got more coming! It is my Nanny & Grandad (my mums parents)! With Sophie & Steven they did a Vindema (grape harvest) and Nanny & Grandad they are here for my parents exibision!

Holidays

At my school we don't get half terms but because we work so hard and have such long days we get 2 weeks christmas holidays and 3 months summer holidays!

Exhibision

My parents have an exhibision on the 16 of November! My mum is putting in pictures & my dad is putting in paintings cause as you know well most of you do he's a painter & my mum is a photographer.

Reason for no post

I'm sorry I haven't been posting anything. It is because I have school till 5.30pm (I get home at 6.30pm because the school bus that I go on comes at 6.00pm on it's second round to pick us up and it takes 30 minutes to get home and I get home work evey day)!

My dad knows how to make pizza so he decided to make pizza in the forno if you don't know what a forno is its a little oven outside and you can cook stuff like bread and pizza in its (there are lots of fornos in countries like France,Spain and Portugal.

This is where the Winters live our house is like a dolls house compared to there's! Ellie & Josh's bedrooms are is a little outbuilding with no parents to boss them about!!

Now I've only got good news and now I'll tell you it (because you don't have a choice) Ellie & Josh are here!!!

Our first look to Dutch

When camping at MonBazon we met a lovely Dutch family and friend called Lilly Sackman (the girl in the blue top), Nino (Lilly's best friend who has been a friend since primary school), Marije Sackman (Lilly's mum), Clarence Sackman (Lilly's dad), their dog Bear and their 30 year old camper van.
